| About file names | |
| A digital camera names
files something like this: IMG_0001-2.jpg. If you don't rename the file to something that makes sense, you won't know later what this is a picture of. |

| I like to start a filename with the date in reverse order, for sorting purposes. | |

Note in the Windows Explorer screenshot below that the *.jpg photo
files, sorted by name, are in chronological order. You can also search (Windows or Desktop) for files by entering the date "string" (e.g. 050623) |

| For search purposes, also put meaningful names or other words in the filename. | |
